Reversing Global Warming: Introduction to Drawdown

Pachamama's Drawdown Project gives us hope!  Confused about the relative impacts different solutions have upon climate change? Attend the keynote presentation "Reversing Global Warming: Introduction to Drawdown" as part of National Campus Sustainability Day at Howard Community College on Thursday, October 24, 2019, 6 - 8 p.m. Presented by Lore Rosenthal, leader of Greenbelt Climate Action Network, and co-hosted by Howard Community College and HoCo Climate Action, this event will explain Project Drawdown.   Project Drawdown is a coalition of more than 200 researchers and other experts from 22 countries led by author, environmentalist, and entrepreneur Paul Hawken. Over the course of five years of rigorous scientific research, they identified and modeled the 100 most substantive, already existing solutions for addressing global warming. Their astounding conclusion: it is possible not only to slow global warming, but also actually reverse it by 2050. RSVPs are highly recommended but not required. Please be prompt as the workshop will take the full two hours. The workshop material is provided by the Pachamama Alliance and includes video clips of Paul Hawken.   Some participants may choose to continue learning by participating in a five-session group this fall, "Drawdown Solutions: Getting Into Action". The presentation will be held in Burrill Galleria in the Academic Commons and the closest parking garage is East Garage 5650 Faculty Drive. Map of Howard Community College campus: https://www.howardcc.edu/about-us/hcc-at-a-glance/locations-and-directions/campus-map.html For more information or questions, please email HoCoClimateAction@gmail.com
